Must haves:
- Strong knowledge of (PLC) Programmable Logic Controllers & have experience installing PLC's or has been a field programmer
- Must have 3-5 years experience working in the Oil & Gas field
- Must have great analytical skills, experience with DC Circuits
- Strong mechanical experience and knowledge of VRU's
- Read and interpret electrical specifications and troubleshooting
- Technical skills to read and understand P&ID

- The ideal candidate will have experience working with high and low voltage systems, logic controllers, and possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and codes.
- The Electrician is responsible for assisting with installation and troubleshooting of oil & gas production equipment on customer sites in a safe manner while following guidelines set forth in the NEC Codebook and blueprints.
- Duties also include assisting field technicians with safe startup and troubleshooting of oil & gas production equipment on customer sites.
- Reviews and analyzes documentation, materials, and calculations, to ensure compliance with NEC Codebook, customer, product, safety, quality, and industry standards and requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide skilled electrical support to field technicians in oilfield operations.
- Provide electrical/mechanical maintenance and repairs.
- Install disconnects, starters, field instruments, control panels, motor controls, and motors. Installs conduits and pulls wiring as required to each device.
- Troubleshoot and correct electrical devise failures as required.
- Read and interpret electrical specifications, standards, and blueprints.
- Ensure the reliability, integrity, and usability of electrical components.
- Understands hazardous area classification requirements to finalize, design and layout of the electrical/control instrumentation on a package.
- Provides start-up assistance and troubleshooting to field service technicians and customers during commissioning of equipment packages at site.

- Apply NFPA 70E guidelines while performing work.
- Terminate both high and low voltage equipment and cable/wiring.
- Assemble and install electrical equipment.
- Responsible for callout on emergency communications outages or problems.
- Read blueprints to determine the scope of work and order the correct materials.
- Train and educate apprentice level employees with use and practical application of NEC code.
- Communicate with the customer and (or) General Contractor in the field.
- Training Apprentices as needed.
- 3-5 years’ experience working in oil & gas field environment.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Journeyman license, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of industry standards (API, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, IEC, etc.).
- Ability to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of instrument & controls system design and its application for Oil & Gas process equipment packages.
- Technical skills to read and understand Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&IDs), and schematics.
- Valid Driver's license with safe driving record.
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
- Ability to perform and pass a job specific physical and DOT physical.
- Speak, Read and Write in English.
Preferred Experience:
- Working experience with Compression or other Rotating Equipment.
- Experience in PLC programming, HMI, sequence logic design, PID loop design and implementation.
- Timely problem-solving skills, working in a team environment with the ability to lead a project and prioritize responsibilities.
- Advanced PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet usage required. CAD skills (AutoCAD) preferred.

- Ability work with arms raised for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 4 hours per day.
- Vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Vision to accurately read all related distribution documents and computer monitor screens.
- Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions
- Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in field, hazardous Chemicals, and Hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required.
- Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required.
