Our company is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent customer service and a passion for Italian food, wine, beverages and menu development. The successful candidate for this position will regularly work in a busy restaurant environment with high-energy coworkers and will be capable of completing tasks independently and being accountable for their own performance.
This is a fast-paced environment. We regularly have a full dining room, provide off site catering, and host many large upscale events. Only motivated team players with a desire to thrive need apply.
Our restaurant is looking for an Assistant General Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in management and leadership roles, and will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to think strategically, and a commitment to developing and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a highly organized individual who is capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring incoming staff complies with company policies.
- Training staff to follow restaurant procedures.
- Ensuring Health department policies are followed.
- Maintaining safety and food quality standards.
- Keeping customers happy and handling complaints
- Organizing schedules
- Keeping track of employees’ hours
- Recording payroll data
- Ordering food, linens, gloves and other supplies while staying within budget limitations
- Supervising daily shift operations
- Ensuring all end of day cash outs are correctly completed
- Coordinating daily front- and back-of-house restaurant operations
- Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste
- Appraising staff performance
- Interviewing/recruiting new employees
- Interacting with guests to get feedback on product quality and service levels
- Handling emails and booking of private parties and events as inquires are received vial online platform.
- Bonuses paid dependent on performance and business growth.
- Bonus paid for maintaining health score of 95 or better.
