Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing operations including supplies and equipment pertaining to Food and Beverage for the members. You will be responsible for delegating tasks to all Front of House (FOH) staff and ensuring responsibilities are completed in a timely manner. Along with ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly. You will act as the liaison between the kitchen staff, FOH and members. As Floor Supervisor we expect you to set the example for the staff and to perform all duties to the best of your ability.
- Approach all encounters with members and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Assign work duties to the F&B staff (including shift side work and closing side work) for all shifts.
- Maintains organization, cleanliness and sanitation of all service areas, glassware and equipment through regular inspections.
- Develops standard operating procedures to help ensure that service areas are set up and operated efficiently.
- Works with managers to maintain and keep current training manuals.
- Inspects service staff to ensure they are always in proper and clean uniforms.
- Serve as liaison between dining areas and kitchen staff.
- Monitors staff opening and closing procedures (checklist) and assures that area is complete and secure.
- May be expected to cover/assist as bartender or server, if needed.
- Conduct employee training as required ensuring that your team is given the skills needed to excel
- Conducts scheduled pre-shift meetings with service staff.
- Conducts inventory counts each month in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure organization of all items and that all are stocked in designated areas.
- Inspect stock levels and informing management in a timely manner.
- Adhere to food sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Assists and works in developing menus.
- Resolve member complaints or concerns when present, escalate to management when needed. Complete detail logged.
- Report all issues to management in timely manner (be the eyes on the floor)
- Provide feedback to FOH and BOH when required
- Perform all other duties as assigned within the scope of position expectations.
Qualifications
- Food service management
- POS system proficiency
- Supervisory experience in a restaurant setting
- Strong customer service skills
- Team management and leadership abilities
- Knowledge of inventory control and management
- Previous experience in fine dining or hospitality industry
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
