GENERAL
The Assistant Project Management role reports to the Account Manager/Team Lead and assists Principal, Director of Construction and Project Managers in providing project/construction management services to client and general administrative support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative - General administrative tasks including the following:
General correspondence, copying, scanning, filing and phones
Coordination of meetings and schedules
Serve as back-up to other Assistant Project Managers or Project Coordinators
Construction Management – Assist in providing construction management for projects, including the following tasks:
Construction
Planning
Assist Project Manager in creation of project schedule
Assist Project Manager in creation of project budget
Track key milestones and update schedule as directed by Project Manager
Utilize project schedule as planning tool for key milestones
Programming and Design
Understand the project's costs, budget and schedule
Work with Project Manager to develop project requirements and preliminary design plans
Review designs during their development
Assist Project Manager in preparation of project budgets
Working Drawings
Track commencement of working drawings upon approval from Project Manager
Perform general review of working drawings
Bid
Identify contractors selected for bid
Prepare bid package to be reviewed by Project Manager
Distribute bid package and assist in responding to RFIs
Attend bid walk and work with Project Manager to prepare Bid Addendums as required
Tabulate bids and assist in reviewing pricing
Process appropriate contracts
Construction
Review and monitor project's construction schedules and budgets
Perform periodic site visits, as required, throughout campus
Update schedule as necessary during project
Coordinate contractor activities with Client and vendors as necessary
Punch List
Attend Punch List Walk-through, if directed
Monitor and ensure completion of all punch list items identified
Administrative/Financial
Maintain all appropriate documentation relating to all components of the project – budget, contracts, bid process, construction and close-out
Learn and adhere to all CMPG policies, as may be modified per specific client requirements
Track costs of all components of project
Review and track all invoices relating to project
Maintain cost records during project
Assist in review of all change orders during project; research scope and pricing as needed
Prepare and submit Final Job Close-Out package to Client at completion of job
Utilize client system for procurement, budgeting, reporting
Project Management
Direct management of select projects, under direction of Principal, Director of Construction, Account Manager or Project Manager
Project Team
Provide general support to account team
Contribute to team objectives, goals and culture
Provide professional representation of CMPG in client environment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Knowledge and Skills
Experience in construction/construction management required

Education
Minimum of five years of construction/construction management experience and/or Four-Year Degree
College Degree preferred, in process acceptable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
