Emerald, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to aid in environmental projects throughout the southeast. Candidates will be involved in monitoring well installation, soil and groundwater sampling, and remedial activities at contaminated sites. At the completion of field work, the candidate will assist in data input, report preparation, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently outdoors, be a team player, and be able to adjust to varying workloads and assignments.
Entry to Mid-Level Position:
Responsibilities:
-Performs groundwater sampling, gauging, and surveying activities.
-Participates in long duration groundwater pumping events at sites throughout South Carolina.
-Provides oversight during drilling activities.
-Compiles and completes field data on each event/site.
-Preparation of data tables and figures.
-Assisting in preparation of reports documenting field activities.
Education:
-Bachelor's degree in Geology, Biology, Geography, Environmental Science or related field is preferred, however will except resumes from individuals with an associates degree or high school diploma which meets the following requirements.
Requirements:
-Candidates must be detail-oriented, and a team player with good communication, organization, and time management skills.
-Must have a clean driving record, be able to drive a company vehicle, and pull trailers (Will Train).
-Must be willing to travel throughout the state and overnight for field activities.
-Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time.
-Heavy lifting of 50lbs or more will be required at times.
-Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word.
