Job Description
We are looking for a self-assured, reliable Federal Construction Project Manager to join our team. This person will supervise construction projects and have a keen understanding of the building process. The Project Manager will be tasked with directing and coordinating the construction team and all subcontractors, ensuring tools, equipment, and materials are available, preparing reports, negotiating contracts, and analyzing risks. You should be able to work well within a team and also liaise with external vendors.
A Construction Project Manager should have in-depth knowledge of construction management, building practices and also be familiar with health and safety regulations. A top candidate should have an analytical mind, superb organizational skills, and good negotiation strategies. The Construction Project Manager will be the liaison between the Government and the Company.
Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Leading the construction execution team at the project manager level
- Developing and maintaining a project management plan
- Negotiating contracts and change orders to ensure maximum profitability with the client and subcontractors
- Developing, maintaining, and reporting project budgets
- Determining the necessary resources (time, cost, labor, materials) for each project
- Manage projects, achieve quality standards and complete on time and on budget
- Hiring staff and contractors
- Providing guidance and supervision as required
- Assess project progress and performance
- Performing detailed analyses and drawing up reports for relevant stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with all building, safety, and governmental regulations
- Obtaining relevant permits and licenses, if required
Qualifications
Construction Project Manager Requirements:
- 7+ years' experience managing multiple, concurrent small to medium sized projects or single large projects in the Federal Marketplace
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or other related discipline is preferred but not required
- Federal Government construction experience is a must
- Must be a US Citizen, not a Green Card Holder
- Strong understanding of most CSI divisions of work
- Proficiency in estimating, takeoffs, and scoping
- Understanding of construction legal issues
- USACE CQM certification preferred
- Advanced understanding of construction processes, principles, materials, and tools
- Must be Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project
- Excellent leadership abilities
- Great time management and organizational skills
- The ability to communicate clearly
- Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to pass Government security screening
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel a plus
- Position is for working remotely with periodic travel to government sites is required

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
