ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES
- Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions (i.e. DTT, PECS, NET, etc.) to children with special needs in a 1:1 setting in the home, school, and community.
- Collect accurate & reliable electronic and paper data for skill acquisition and problem behaviors on a daily basis
- Work with BCBA and therapy team to implement treatment goals in all areas including self-help, independent living, gross/fine motor, language, etc.
- Implement an individualized treatment plan as written and directed by a BCBA.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational opportunities.
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
- Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with the client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
- Follow ethical standards regarding behavioral modification
- Collaborate with team members and maintain ongoing communication
