Medical Director - Ketamine Services
The Medical Director provides clinical leadership and oversight for all ketamine-related medical services including nasal , IV, IM, and other delivery modalities for ketamine along with Ketamine assisted Therapy. This includes developing and implementing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety. The Medical Director will also play a key role in staff training, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Clinical Operations
- Oversee all clinical ketamine operations, including patient evaluations, treatment plans, and follow-up care
- Develop and maintain evidence-based clinical protocols for ketamine-assisted therapy
- Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards
- Collaborate with the clinical team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care
Staff Management and Training
- Recruit, train, and supervise clinical staff, including physicians, nurses, and therapists
- Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing education and training
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive work environment
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Establish and maintain comprehensive quality assurance and improvement programs
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
Leadership and Strategic Planning
- Provide strategic direction and vision for the clinic's ketamine services
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement long-term goals and objectives
- Represent the clinic at professional conferences, meetings, and events
Patient Consent and Introduction to Ketamine
- The clinic has developed a patient intake, consent and ketamine introduction forms – (attached as Forms A and B).
- Medical Director- Ketamine will review these Forms , recommend any modifications, and ensure the included information is communicated to all patients and employees of ketamine clinic.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD or DO) with a valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine
- Experience in the administration of ketamine and/or psychedelic-assisted therapy
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards
Education and Experience
- Completion of an accredited residency program in a relevant specialty
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Experience in developing and implementing clinical protocols and guidelines
- Familiarity with quality assurance and improvement processes
Clinical Operations
- Overseeing all clinical operations, including patient evaluations, treatment plans, and follow-up care
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $120.00 - $135.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 per week
