**Overview:**
We are seeking a Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical installation, repair, or maintenance of mechanical components such as: pumps, blowers, motors, guages, and electronic controls. Experience in excavation and/or commercial construction is highly desired. If you are passionate about soil and water protection and possess the necessary skills, we encourage you to apply.
**Responsibilities:**
- Operate and maintain mechanical systems used in soil and groundwater remediation
- Soil excavation, sampling, and disposal
- Water sampling and disposal
- PVC pipe configuration and installation
- Utilize power tools for field construction projects
- Assist in installing and repairing mechanical systems for soil and groundwater clean-up
- Read meters, dials, guages, and displays and maintain written field notes
- Handle hand tools proficiently for various tasks
- Lifting and carrying heavy materials around job sites
- Packing and unpacking trucks and trailers with field supplies and equipment
**Qualifications:**
- Experience in the construction or environmental industries is preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical repair and maintenance
- Exposure to soil or water sampling procedures is helpful, but not required
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather
