We are needing Traveling Job Site Superintendents that are experienced in Ground-Up Construction of Restaurants, Retail, and Healthcare buildings. Most projects are from 1M to 5M in contract size and take 3 to 8 months to complete.
This nationwide General Contractor based in Dayton Ohio is looking for on-site construction superintendents, that must be willing to travel. The person must be of high personal integrity & astute in business ethics and must be experienced in construction superintending of ground up commercial projects (Restaurants, Medical Buildings, Retail Buildings, Etc. To be able to keep jobs on budget and on schedule from start to finish. To manage all subcontractors and suppliers. To be a great team player with our Company and our Clients.
This position requires travel and to be at the job location for extended periods of time.
Some of the Required Responsibilities:
- Supervise & Coordinate all on-site construction activities, including those of subcontractors.
- Establish sequence & manner to carry out work, consistent with Project Manager's direction and to keep project on schedule.
- Ability & willingness to study / understand / direct / perform / based on construction drawings, specs, shop drawings, etc.
- Be conscious of job cost & always looking for ways of being more efficient, to save money.
- Communication is extremely important! Communicate daily w/ Project Manager & subcontractors.
- Ensure that work meets high industry standards.
- Must be computer savvy with spreadsheets / sending pictures / Excel & Word programs, etc.
- Need full understanding of scope and responsibility of each trade & subcontractor.
- Create & process RFI's and change order request as needed.
- Maintain neat and orderly work areas.
- Prepare and document job meetings / safety meetings / notes / reports / daily pictures & logs.
- Verify that on-site activities are carried out with all required safety regulations.
- Continuous contact with subcontractors, building officials, fire dept., health dept., utility and testing companies, etc.
- Schedule equipment to achieve full utilization and minimal rental cost.
- Monitor all H/C regulations & requirements, especially documenting parking stalls. (Very Critical !)
- Be willing to physically work as needed, but only when supervision duties are fulfilled.
- Always be willing to accomplish any other task that may be required at any given time.
