Job Description: As a Quality Systems Coordinator, you will be responsible for working with the Quality Systems Management Team in promoting the Quality Management System throughout the organization through the process of internal auditing, corrective action, continuous improvement projects, implementation of policies and procedures, along with an active role in training and development. The Quality Systems Coordinator will be expected to maintain positive, professional relationships with all Mill Steel facilities and associated personnel including upper management and leadership. The Quality Systems Coordinator will be expected to work closely with the Quality Systems Manager in continuous education towards completion of all IATF/ISO industry certifications including AIAG ‘Core Tools’, Root Cause Analysis, Lead Auditor, along with any internal processes that may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Internal and second party team auditor
- Assist with internal audit and layered process audit program(s) including scheduling, completing, documenting, reporting and follow-up including Management Review
- Responsible for PPAP, IMDS, USMCA, and Environmental Reporting
- Responsible for customer assessments
- Responsible for document control and policy/procedural review
- Integrate with all teams in the review of customer quality manuals and the passing down of all customer specific requirements throughout the organization
- Facilitate the corrective action process
- Work with all Mill Steel team(s) in a proactive manner of opening and closing of corrective actions (CA’s) and continual improvement projects (CIP’s) along with documentation, managing deadlines, and verification
- Become an expert in the ability to perform root cause analysis, write effective CA’s and CIP’s.
- Become knowledgeable of the Mill Steel processes, procedures and policies including control plans, PFMEA, and work instructions
- Become knowledgeable of the IATF/ISO Automotive Standards including IATF rules and sanctioned interpretations with the goal of being able to apply them across the Mill Steel organization
- Ensure processes and procedures are in place to prevent non-conforming material from reaching the customer
- Become knowledgeable of the AIAG ‘Core Tools’ and how to implement them across the Mill Steel organization, including control plans, PFMEA, SPC, MSA and APQP
- Assist Quality Systems Development Manager in compliance, statutory regulations, sustainability and the development of training and education initiatives including promotion of the Quality Management System across the organization
- Report to the Quality Management Systems Manager
