Alarmtechs, a Houston-based Low Voltage Construction and Service Company with over 30 Years in the Industry is currently seeking Qualified, Licensed Fire Alarm Technicians to be project lead in our Construction Division and help us run Fire Alarm New Construction Installs in the growing Houston Multi-family market.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Help manage new low voltage, multi-family construction jobs from planning stage to completion.
- Work with other low voltage divisions within the company to ensure smooth construction workflow and full and timely job completion.
- Maintain a clean, safe and productive work environment for all construction.
- Will be leading the work of others, including helpers and subs, to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain good relationship with Project Managers and Property Managers.
- Liaison with vendors, subs and main office in scheduling and ordering material and labor in order to complete projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Applicants should have, at the minimum, a Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL) or Fire Alarm NICET Lvl 1 or equivalent certification (or higher).
- 2+ Years of Fire Alarm System Installation, Servicing and Programming Experience.
- 2+ Years of experience in the Low Voltage field. (Access Control, CCTV, and A/V experience is a plus.)
- Be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Be willing to take direction and complete necessary documentation for all jobs or company related requirements.
- Be able to work with other employee's and subs to maintain a good working relationship in order to efficiently schedule needed work.
- Be able to establish a good relationship with new and existing customers and maintain good communication.
- Be proficient in hand tools as well as all other trade specific tools and equipment.
- Be organized, reliable, motivated and self-sufficient.
