We get asked all the time, “what is the secret to your delicious cakes?”. The answer is simple: it’s our high performing team. We are proud to be part of a brand that now has over 450 independently-owned franchise locations in the United States and Canada. We are currently seeking talented, enthusiastic cake lovers to join our three-store (soon to be five), award-winning operation with locations in Chicago (Lincoln Park and Andersonville) and suburban Oak Lawn.
What you will do…
First and foremost, you will be part of a team whose responsibility it is to delight every single customer who walks through our doors! You will understand how to build relationships with local guests by constantly looking for ways to partner with new customers and develop new connections. You’ll learn about being part of a good, effective business, and you’ll be cross-trained in both the front and back of house operations. You will discover opportunities to improve store efficiency while never compromising on customer service or brand quality. You will grow and develop your own talent within our store, with a key focus on being part of a team culture that embraces continuous improvement while having fun. Most importantly, you will represent our brand every day in the community and while you’re in the store!
Who you are…
You are a highly motivated, extremely personable, enthusiastic team member. You’re organized, thoughtful and you understand attention to detail. You’re quick and have an understanding that efficiency is a huge focus of ours—so giving and receiving feedback is a must! You’re crafty, and you’ll know how to respond quickly to meet deadlines. You will also have a strong sense of humor, as we like to laugh and have fun!
How you will grow…
No bakery experience? No problem! While it’s a huge plus to have worked in a retail business focused on food, we can teach you. You will receive on the job training and have a direct relationship with the owners of the store. You’ll learn our operations end-to-end, and you will try your hand in all of the areas of our business. We will commit to you to provide a healthy, fun working environment with a focus on helping you grow in any profession you’re currently working towards.

FOH Job Description
- Introduce walk-in guests to our bakery and our products with a guest tour
- Assist guests with walk-in orders, while using creative solutions
- Suggest balloon sales, retail items, and up-sell with candles and cards
- Assist external guests by placing incoming orders (over the phone or online)
- Operate and balance point of sale systems (registers) with accuracy and efficiency
- Gather guests email addresses
- Keep store clean daily (sweeping, mopping, etc)
- Craft cakes (decorated cakes)
- Ensure guests leave with big smiles, every time!
- Participate in sales events with our store
- Assist other departments when necessary (Cross training is mandatory)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $15.80 per hour
