Company Overview: We are an emerging microreactor technology company with a vision to become a commercially focused, diversified, vertically integrated technology-driven nuclear energy leader. Our cutting-edge research focuses on advanced nuclear energy, with a particular emphasis on microreactors, nuclear infrastructure, and high assay low enriched uranium (HALEU) fuel. We are seeking a talented and motivated Nuclear Engineer to join our high-functioning team of engineers and scientists.
Position Overview: As a Nuclear Engineer, you will play a vital role in advancing our proprietary technologies by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on complex, multi-faceted projects. Your work will involve experimental and process design activities, requiring critical thinking, attention to detail, and technical expertise in microreactors and HALEU fuel, and assistance with the composition of applications and submissions for grants, partnerships, and company applications.
The position requires a Degree in Physics or Nuclear Engineering, specifically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support for research and development initiatives.
- Assist in performing system analysis for current and future projects.
- Engineering Support:
- Offer engineering expertise throughout all stages of project development.
- Focus on advanced nuclear technologies, including microreactor designs and non-traditional nuclear technologies.
- Design Support:
- Contribute to mechanical design and testing activities.
- Work on microreactor vessel design, systems, components, fuel fabrication, transportation, waste management, and optimization strategies.
- Executive Collaboration:
- Collaborate directly with the CEO and senior staff, providing critical input for strategic decision-making.
- Project Coordination:
- Assist in planning and executing research projects, reviewing technical materials, and evaluating processes.
- Research Collaboration:
- Work closely with the CEO and technical personnel to document design decisions, write technical reports, and assist in grant proposal creation.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Minimum B.S. degree in nuclear engineering or equivalent.
- Broad understanding of various engineering disciplines.
- Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrable knowledge and interest in microreactors and HALEU fuel.
- Experience in test data processing to evaluate component performance.
- Preferred experience with the design, analysis, and test of nuclear components.
- Strong knowledge of nuclear systems, controls, and materials for reactor applications.
- Professional Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational abilities, punctuality, and self-motivation.
- Experience with engineering tools (AutoCAD, Mathcad is a plus).
- Ability to work on a multidisciplinary team.
- Preferred experience in designing safety-critical components in nuclear or other highly regulated applications.

- Strong ability to converse and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- High degree of trust and integrity.
- Availability:
- Ability to work on-site five days a week at a NYC midtown location.
Note: Actual position starting level and title will be determined based on assessment of qualifications.
