Office Specialist
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Specialist/Precert Specialists to join our team. The Office Specialist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, clerical support, order entry, and administrative assistance. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical receptionist duties, front desk operations, calendar management, and possess strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in QuickBooks and phone systems.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent customer service by assisting clients and visitors both in person and over the phone.
- Manage order entry processes accurately and efficiently.
- Perform medical receptionist tasks such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, and maintaining patient records.
- Handle front desk duties including greeting visitors, managing incoming calls, and directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain and organize calendars for appointments, meetings, and events.
- Utilize computer skills to input data, generate reports, and assist with general office tasks.
- Operate phone systems to manage incoming calls and transfer them to the relevant departments.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in customer service or office administration roles.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or coursework in office administration is a plus.
Precert Specialist verifies patients eligibility/coverage, validates/obtains authorizations. The Specialist will contact insurance payors to check for authorization for testing/procedures.
