We are a Chiropractic Wellness Office looking for a dedicated medical billing professional with interest in a long term career. We are a fun, energy filled, up beat office. Individuals must have medical insurance understanding. Prior experience in medical billing is required. The position offers variation in day to day tasks for those that don't like to be stuck doing the same Billing is for 2 providers and is relatively simple. The biggest attribute we need is a good attitude and a willingness to learn!
A successful candidate should be comfortable using a computer, our software and all other office equipment would be great. Should also be proficient in medical coding. With at the very least 3 years of experience. Chiropractic preferred but not required. Must posses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent organizational skills. Candidate will be responsible for billing daily office visits as well as collecting delinquent accounts and tracking and monitoring collections.
Duties include but are not limited to data entry, payment posting, insurance collections, patient collections, writing/sending and following up on appeals, analyzing accounts, filing, verifying insurance, obtaining/verifying and maintaining records related to billing cycle. Candidate must be a reliable individual who takes ownership of their work and responsibilities.
Desirable Experience:
Exposure to HIPAA regulations in healthcare field
Experience and knowledge of Chiropractic
We can train the right individual but experience is a big plus!
We use the PayDC database management and billing software and their Clearinghouse. Here is a list of some of the job requirements:

Required Qualifications:
3 years of medical coding and collections work experience required
Preferred if have years of chiropractic coding required.
Possess significant working knowledge of Medicare, Personal Injury, HMOs, Major Medical POS and PPO billing rules and procedures. Ability to read and interpret documents such as medical clinical and narrative reports.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, CPT Codes, ICD-9, ICD-10, clinical documentation, and medical billing processes.
Ability to work on several concurrent tasks as well as prioritize workload
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook.
Full understanding of medical ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT billing codes
