Automotive General Manager
We are currently seeking an executive level Automotive General Manager to lead the team at our state-of-the-art facility located about 20 miles outside Chicago, IL. Ideal candidate will have aa successful track-record at a 250 to 300/Mo. high volume store. Import experience like Audi, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Honda, and/or Toyota preferred, but not necessary.
In this position you will manage the daily operations of the dealership to ensure sustainability of dealership profitability based on goals set at our corporate level. This is a hands-on leadership position of the entire dealership’s operational departments.
Responsibilities of an Automotive General Manager
- The Automotive General Manager position is directly responsible for all aspects of the location operations.
- Manage daily operations of the dealership and ensure sustainability of dealership profitability
- Not only manage but build and lead our group of people in our organization
- Create, Plan & implement dealership operations policy & procedures
- Implement our corporate system to achieve store sales & profitability goals
- Promotes strong commitment to CSI at or above manufacturer and our corporate standards
- Assesses all dealership operations to set profitability goals & objectives and improve overall performance.
- Be a leader to all managers and employees in all dealerships departments through coaching and career skill development.
- Cultivate positive working relationships with manufacturer and lending institutions
- Create a positive working environment and culture for all employees
- Coordinate with our corporate office to ensure all corporate initiatives are followed
- Recruiting & development of team members.
- focus on increasing our new and pre-owned market share
- Coach leadership management team sales team on proper closing techniques through training and active participation, and lead profitability of your teams.
Requirements of an Automotive General Manager
- Minimum 3+ Years as a General Manager in a high-volume store (250-300/Mo.)
- 3 years auto dealership GSM
- Strong F&I background
- Import brand experience is preferred, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Honda, and/or Toyota, but not necessary. If you are the right person, we will know it.
- Strong ability to read & understand the monthly statement to optimize profit potential
- Ability to bring in Key Players and build a winning team
- Ability to coordinate with corporate office to implement initiatives
- Strong team player with great leadership skills
- Proven track record of success in CSI
- Focus on market share, volume, and profit.
