Field Certification Technician
Our work matters- we provide Critical Environment Solutions to Pharmacies, Hospitals, Universities, Research Facilities, and others. Our work enables our clients to safely continue their critical work- more important now than ever.
If you want to work in a wide variety of environments and hone a multitude of skills, Technical Balance is right for you. We offer a small-business atmosphere coupled with a competitive wage, Union Healthcare and Pension benefits on top of that wage, Professional Education and Certification courses, and the potential for a take-home company vehicle.
Punctuality, Reliability, Communication, and Attitude are key to your success at Technical Balance. We will teach you the skills of Air Balance, BioSafety Cabinet and Fume Hood certification, and Cleanroom Performance Testing; we can't teach you how to show up on time every day ready to work.
Technical Balance performs a wide variety of Cleanroom and Critical Environment work. After a training-and-orientation period Technicians will independently perform Air Balance for HVAC projects including new constructions and retrofits, laboratory device certification for pharmaceutical manufacturing clients, and certification of rooms and buildings where pharmaceuticals and other critical products are being produced.
Technicians must have strong math and problem-solving skills as these are crucial to applying the formulas and standards necessary for certification. Technicians are expected to present a professional appearance and be able to communicate comfortably with our wide variety of clients- from foremen on construction sites to scientists conducting research in the device we're certifying.
Technicians should have basic skills with ordinary household tools; electronics/electrical experience is preferred. Comfort with computers is a definite plus- we use the Microsoft Office suite with emphasis in OUTLOOK and EXCEL.
Technicians will perform most work within Indianapolis or 100 mile radius; overnight travel is possible approximately 20-30%. We perform certifications nationwide- promotion and advancement might increase your travel opportunities.
Some jobs require Safety-toe workboots and hard hats; some jobs require Operating Room garbing, beard nets, and double-gloving. We are a business of exceptions- you might be doing something different every day, and you can do it with Technical Balance!
Our clients require a clean background check in order to be granted access to their site- typically a 7-year lookback, though some infractions will always be flagged. You must have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving history and reliable transportation to the office or jobsite every day.
NEBB, CETA, NSF 49, TAB and other industry certifications are preferred but not required.
We will offer qualified candidates who successfully complete the 1st stage of the application process a day or two of PAID job-shadow opportunity to see if we're a good fit for you. We intend this to be a long-term partnership with you, and we want to be sure to get it right.
