JOB SUMMARY:
Olympic Medical Physicians provides physician and provider services to the recently remodeled (2020) Olympic Medical Cancer Center (OMCC) in Sequim, on Washington State’s beautiful North Olympic Peninsula. We have an immediate opening for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our collegial team. OMCC is a CoC/ASTRO accredited Cancer Center that includes onsite infusion suites, pharmacy, and a radiation oncology department with dual TrueBeam treatment capabilities. Bi-weekly tumor registrar lead Cancer Conference (tumor board) allow participants to discuss and learn from complicated/unique cases with a multidisciplinary team that includes pathology, radiology, surgery and oncology clinicians. This Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) position is outpatient with no call or inpatient rounding. In collaboration with our medical oncology physicians and dedicated multi-disciplinary OMCC team, OMP Medical Oncology Advanced Practice Clinicians provide outpatient oncology care in the clinic setting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Graduate of a physician assistant program and certified by WA State
OR
- Master of Science in Nursing, Masters of Nursing, or equivalent Nurse Practitioner Degree
- Maintains appropriate Continuing Medical Education credits per Washington State and OMC Medical Staff requirements.
Experience
- 2 years prior oncology experience preferred, but not required.
Licensure/Credentials
- Current Washington State RN Licensure and current Washington State ARNP licensure with prescriptive authority in Washington State
OR
- Current Washington State PA-C licensure and prescriptive authority
- Maintains current DEA registration.
- Maintains current BLS or ACLS certification.
- Maintains appropriate privileges and membership on the OMC Medical Staff.

- Advocates for patient-centered care. Highly skilled in effective interpersonal communication and diplomatic relations with public, patients, nursing staff, supervisors and coworkers. Consistently demonstrates ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner.
