Our mission is to provide high-quality therapy and supervision services to mainly low-income populations and unlicensed therapists to help clients and therapists learn and grow in the best possible way. We primarily serve Medicaid and private pay clients in the Denver Metro Area.
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor with a high degree of integrity and a positive attitude to join our team of clinicians in Denver, CO!
Position Summary
The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor will play a pivotal role in providing leadership, guidance, and supervision to a team of unlicensed therapists while also delivering exceptional direct client care. This position requires a balance between leadership responsibilities and hands-on therapeutic services. This is a full-time position that requires working in office (with a hybrid option) Monday through Friday. However, we are open to a part-time position that only holds a caseload of supervisees and not clients. Eligible for benefits after 90 days. Supervisors are provided a furnished office space with play and art therapy supplies, and a caseload to supervise up to 5 or more unlicensed therapist and hold a client caseload of around 10 clients per week (optional), which includes the advertising/marketing, billing and administrative support for the caseload. Supervisors can also create their own schedule and requires working independently and also as a team. Supervisor position requires the ability to efficiently complete administration duties.
About You:
- Master's or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Colorado.
- Preferred AAMFT Approved Supervisor Credential.
- Preferred Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S) credential.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-graduate experience in providing mental health therapy services, with demonstrated expertise in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Previous experience, training or credential as a supervisor in a supervisory or leadership role, with strong skills in team building, staff development, and accountability to expectations through performance management.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse populations and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional boundaries in all interactions
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage competing demands, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Leadership (60%+/-)
- Maintain a supervisory caseload of at least 5 (up to 10 or more) unlicensed/associate therapists while holding a small individual caseload (optional).
- Meet with each supervisee/associate therapist 1x/week
- Support with group supervision/consultation biweekly and monthly team meetings
- Supervision sessions may be done in person, or via video conferencing
- Be available for questions and consultation as needed by the associate therapist
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of unlicensed therapists, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, ethical guidelines, and best practices.
- Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions to support professional development, clinical growth, and skill enhancement of therapists.
- Review and co-sign therapy notes, treatment plans, and other documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain high-quality patient care.
- Provide as-needed consultation and staffing for patient escalations related to clinical emergencies, increase in level of care, or emergent change in clinical presentation.
- Collaborate with the clinical leadership team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of therapy services.
- Serve as a liaison between therapists, other healthcare professionals, and administrative staff to facilitate communication and promote interdisciplinary collaboration, when and if needed.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes for therapists, providing constructive feedback and support for continuous improvement, as needed.
Direct Patient Care (25%+/-)-Optional
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans for patients with a variety of mental health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and other modalities, to address the needs of patients across the lifespan.
- Deliver individual-child and adult, family, and couples therapy sessions, utilizing a client-centered and strengths-based approach to promote healing, resilience, and recovery.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity of care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate integrated care and support holistic treatment goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, treatment interventions, and progress notes in accordance with regulatory requirements and agency policies.

- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures in accordance with State and Federal Regulations for client care and services (HIPAA, CMS, OSHA, or other governing agencies)

Job Requirements & Skills
