The Admissions Specialist will be a Christian whose role supports the Admissions team in maintaining strong enrollment and wait pool status across all divisions. This includes engaging with families throughout the entire Admissions process, from vetting strong mission appropriate families to onboarding new students successfully to TFA. The Admissions Specialist will support the Admissions team with all Admissions initiatives with a level of excellence in customer service and teamwork. He or she must be a mature Christian who also agrees with The First Academy philosophies, vision, and mission statement. This position is a full-time, 12-month, including some weekends and evenings, hourly position.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work collaboratively with Admissions Team to continuously refine and refresh Admissions initiatives and processes to ensure the highest level of teamwork, customer service, and mission-driven enrollment
- Prove superior customer service for prospective families and their students throughout the Admissions process and visitors on campus
- Assists with campus tours, connecting with families through personal TFA stories/testimonies and customize your to family/student needs
- Vet strong missions appropriate families during the tour and application process
- Leads Admissions testing
- Process Admissions application files from start to finish, in conjunction with the Business Office
- Prepare student files for review process (Admissions, Leadership Team, etc)
- Prepares new student cumulative files for divisions
- Archives withdrawn student files
- Leads Admissions Team registrar needs for new and outgoing student files
- Daily communication with prospective and incoming families via phone and family
- Daily communication with team members via meetings, email, and phone
- Assists with Admission event planning and data tracking, and attend Admissions events
- Assists with Admissions data tracking
- Assists with the New Family Onboarding Process, including student new student boxes
- Assists with Admissions Parent and Student Ambassador Program
- Ongoing growth mentality with professional development and benchmark school outreach
- Serves as the SEVIS PDSO (Principal Designated School Official) for International Students
- Assists the Extended Education Programs with the admissions process questions and troubleshooting
- Morning, Lunch and Afternoon Duties, as assigned
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Your service at The First Academy is a ministry. - Evidence of a mature personal Christian faith consistent with the First Academy Statement of Faith including being a born again Christian, active Church member, exhibiting a close personal walk with Jesus Christ: modeling an exemplary Biblical lifestyle and evidencing maturity in the understanding of sound Biblical principles.
- Bachelor’s Degree, or higher, preferred.
- Admissions, Marketing, and/or Sales experience preferred.
- Classroom teaching experience is preferred.
- Skilled in Google Office Suite applications.
