Job Title: Retail Inventory Manager
Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Retail Inventory Manager to oversee inventory operations across six retail stores, including the oversight of retail merchandise produced in-house. This role combines responsibilities from various functions including inventory management, purchasing, merchandising, inventory loss prevention, retail promotional management, and in-house production management to ensure efficient and effective inventory control and optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee inventory levels across six retail locations. Implement inventory control procedures to minimize stock discrepancies and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Purchasing: Coordinate purchasing activities to procure products at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards. Negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships to optimize purchasing terms and conditions.
- Merchandising: Collaborate with merchandisers to develop effective product displays and promotions that drive sales and enhance customer experience.
- Purchasing Duties: Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans aligned with business goals. Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved sourcing strategies.
- Inventory Loss Prevention: Implement loss prevention strategies and procedures to minimize shrinkage and ensure inventory accuracy. Conduct regular audits and investigations to identify and address discrepancies and operational inefficiencies.
- Retail Promotional Management: Plan and execute promotional campaigns and events to drive traffic and sales across retail locations. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop compelling promotional strategies.
- In-House Production Management: Oversee the production of retail merchandise produced in-house, ensuring timely production schedules, quality control, and inventory management of raw materials and finished goods.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory management, purchasing, or related roles within the retail industry.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices and familiarity with inventory management software.
