Betts Truck Parts & Service is seeking a skilled Mobile Service Technician to join our San Leandro team. Our Mobile Technicians travel to various locations to repair and overhaul brake, suspension, and steering systems on a wide range of vehicles, including automobiles, buses, trucks, trailers, and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Represent Betts in a respectful and professional manner to all customers, vendors, associates, and other contacts

Examine vehicles and discuss the nature and extent of damage or malfunction with the Service Manager

Complete paperwork documenting parts needed and the work to be performed

Replace components such as springs, walking beams, u-bolts, hangers, torque arms, equalizers, kingpins, drag links, air systems, shocks, brakes, and other suspension and steering-related parts
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license

Unrestricted ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, lift (up to 75 lbs.), push, pull, climb, and lie in a horizontal position for prolonged periods

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and non-DOT physical

Basic knowledge of air brake systems functions

Ability to use a cutting torch and perform welding

Understanding of brake hydraulic systems, including testing

Knowledge of steering and suspension components

Ability to measure components and verify if they are within specifications
