Office Manager/Treasurer
Qualifications:
§ Experience in secretarial and administrative tasks
§ Passion for providing administrative support to church pastor and managing an organized and efficient church office
§ Computer literate and accurate typing

§ Good with figures, Excellent organizational skills

Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a public relations poise in personal, telephone and written contact reflecting a compassion for human need in keeping with the Christian Spirit.
2. Participating in meetings/training: Monthly Church Council meetings, staff meetings,
finance committee meetings and continuing education as needed to maintain
office/financial/computer skills.
3. Providing professional administrative support for, managing all written and oral
communications and coordinating tasks for the pastor and the pastoral staff.
4. Function as confidential secretary to the Pastor.5. Maintain a public relations poise in
personal, telephone and written contact reflecting a compassion for human need in
keeping with the Christian Spirit.
5. Assume responsibility for all church correspondence; edit, print and prepare for US
postal mailings and email:
· Responsible for Weekly Bulletins
· Church Newsletter
· Computer generated weekly updates
· Other mail-outs, i.e. meeting cards, e-mail meetings and prayer requests
6. Keep filing system of important church correspondence, reports and records of church
business.
7. Oversee the maintenance of copier, folder and computer system.
8. Work with Grounds and Facility Administrator to maintain administrative supplies,
maintenance supplies, and worship related items as needed.
9. Encourage and supervise office volunteers.
10. Work with pastor and leadership to prepare and maintain annual reports, including “
Church Conference and Annual Conference Reports.
11. Maintain confidentiality in all matters pertaining to church constituents.
12. Maintain current computer knowledge and skills.
13. Assist Trustees with coordination of van/transportation issues; assuring all insurance
paperwork is filled out on drivers, van repairs, etc.
14. Maintain staff vacation and sick time records and report to SPRC quarterly.
15. Perform related tasks as requested by the Pastor.
16. Keep lists of hospitalized church members, special prayer requests, deaths, births and
other important events. Mail cards from church as appropriate.
17 Keep the church’s general ledger and financial records and prepare related forms
and reports as necessary. 23. Handling all payroll needs and preparing check, in a
timely fashion and with meeting deadlines. Will help ensure that the church’s
finances are in accordance with legal, ethical and biblical standards.
18. Processing of all monies received through the church office. Work closely with the
Financial Secretary to maintain order for received monies.
19. Receive and pay all bills and reimbursements.
20. Work with Payroll Company to ensure payroll on a semi-monthly basis, maintaining
payroll records, including preparation of yearly W-2s for all employees.
21. Preparation of weekly financial information for the church bulletin, monthly
financial report for church newsletter and monthly reports for finance committee
meetings.
22. Assist finance chairperson in preparation of yearly budget for the church.
23. Work closely with all staff members and church members to maintain accurate
records of fundraising and other activities; disbursing and depositing funds as
requested.
24. Preparing and submitting reports as requested by District and Florida Conference.
25. Confer with Pastor and finance chairperson on all concerns, large withdrawals,
and expenses exceeding budgeted monies.
While It is acceptable and suggested that some of these responsibilities be delegated to office volunteers, the Office Manager is still ultimately responsible for the completion of assigned tasks
Supervision:
§ Pastor and SPPRC will conduct quarterly reviews of position
Job Assumptions:
· 25 Hours per week
· $26,500 - $30,000 per year
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
