Job Description: We are seeking an experienced manager and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Portfolio Director. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing 2-3 Account Managers and a portfolio of 400-600 units of residential properties. The expectation is that you will drive performance from your team and grow your portfolio under management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee a team of 2-3 Account Managers and the operations of 400-600 residential units.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with your team and portfolio to drive growth and boost retention.
- Actively seek new business opportunities to expand your portfolio and grow revenue.
- Collaborate with the Account Managers to develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue and operational goals.
- Provide outstanding customer service to tenants and property owners and step in to triage or critical situations that Account Managers need assistance on
- Daily analysis of reports and key variables to maintain a proactive style of management and steer a portfolio away from issues
- Obtain active PM license in DC and Sales Licenses in DC, VA and MD with support of company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in property management, sales, or account management
- Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of multifamily properties and grow revenue
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- A kind person who others enjoy working with who can motivate a team
- Highly analytical and organized
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
- Experience with real estate investments and/or financial analysis is a plus
- Comfortable with technology and ability to learn new software programs
Compensation:
- Base salary of $50,000 per year plus revenue share
- Revenue share of 4.5% in year one received on all portfolio revenue generated by Account Managers under management with staged annual increases (projected $50,000-$75,000 revenue share in YR1)
- Opportunity for annual salary increases of 20-30% based on performance, increased portfolio size and increased revenue share.
