Job Summary
ProForm Finishing Products LLC is a leading-nationwide manufacturer of building products. The fulltime position(s) available, will be for a 2nd and 3rd shift opening(s). These positions will train on day shift, and then move to 2nd or 3rds. In this position, you will be part of a team working on a manufacture production line in a batching system process operating machinery, driving forklifts, using computer and scanning devices, pre-staging raw materials, packaging, filling, palletizing, lifting, cleaning, communicating, maintaining equipment while following company quality and safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties
Major Job Responsibilities (not all inclusive):
- Identify and communicate safety hazards and quality deficiencies to management
- Know and comply with all safety and quality policies and procedures
- Production line equipment operation, trouble shooting and adjustments
- Perform production equipment inspections to ensure proper operation and safety
- Communicate repair functions and needs with Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Dept.
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
- Routine quality control tests performed
- Enter QC data into quality software system
- Ability to think clearly and troubleshoot production equipment during time-sensitive outages
- Routine lifting of weighted product
- Hands-on experience with: packaging equipment, palletizing equipment, pneumatics, conveying equipment, case formers/packers, weighing systems and automation systems a plus
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work space
- Perform production line changeover and set-ups of packaging line machinery
- Chemical compounding may be necessary
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Production data entry and Scanning in SAP
Qualifications and Skills
- Safety oriented individual a must.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a production manufacturing environment a plus.
- Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Positive Attitude.
- Detail Oriented Problem solving and decision making abilities.
- Fast learner
- Strong work ethic
- Self-starter, able to take direction.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Overtime; weekend and shift work required if needed.
