Job Title: Business Development Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team to be responsible for identifying business growth opportunities, creating and fostering relationships with community health care providers and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Experience providing education to the community about Hospice Services is required. Medicare/Medicaid knowledge preferred.
Duties:
- Educate health care professionals, patients, and families about Hospice services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key referral sources, such as hospitals, nursing homes and physician offices.
- Provide information and education compassionately to patients and their loved ones when making decisions about possible Hospice Care.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess patient needs and identify barriers to care.
- Coordinate patient admissions with the team, including obtaining all required documentation.
- Keep accurate records of patient interactions and referrals.
- Achieve admissions, product, and payor-mix goals.
- Meet expectation of community contacts daily.
- Maintain a complete, up-to-date record of targeted referral sources in territory.
- Attends community events to promote Passion Hospice.
- Responds to customer complaints compassionately and in timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Local Hospice Experience Required.
- Minimum 3-5 years hospice industry sales experience required.
- Established relationships in the Bexar and surrounding counties with health care facilities, professionals and or resources that support patients at the end of life.
- Evidence of achieving sales goals within the market and/or demonstrates track record of consistently exceeding corporate goals.
- Strong customer service, sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
- Self motivated and able to manage own schedule.
- Strong interpersonal skills within all levels of an organization.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
