To serve on call, caregivers need to be willing to work in all available environments (including facilities) with few restrictions (dogs, cats, smokers, driver, distance).
- Stipend pay for being on-call is $40
- On Call Caregiver will need to confirm the shift in system
- On Call Caregiver must be available for any shift on that day between 6AM and 8PM
- On Call Caregiver needs to text or call the On Call phone at 8A and Noon on that day to check in
- If the On Call Caregiver is sick or has any other conflict, they must call in advance just as they would for a normal shift according to our Attendance Policy
- If the caregiver is assigned a shift, they will still get paid the stipend for the On Call pay plus getting paid for the shift
- If there is On Call coverage for an overnight shift, then the availability is for 8PM-7AM and the caregiver needs to check in at 8PM that night
Note that On Call pay does not count as hours worked for overtime purposes and is not affected by holiday multipliers.
