The Health Associates of Tampa is a premier private practice located in South Tampa that is searching for a reliable, outgoing, highly organized certified Medical Assistant. We are searching for an MA that can support both the front and back office of our fast-paced, busy internal medicine PCP clinic.
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant certification
- Minimum 1-year of MA office experience, including use of an EHR
- Reliable and Dependable
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- High quality Communication skills - verbal and written
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as be a Team Player
- Multi-tasking is a must
- Able to be flexible to adjust to the situations that may arise throughout the work day
- CPR Certfied
- Bilingual is a plus, but not required
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet incoming patients and visitors to the clinic
- Answer phone calls and direct to appropriate staff or assist the caller in a professional and helpful manner
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Data entry
- Collect payments from patients if necessary
- Verify insurances via websites or phone calls
- Other administrative functions to support clinic
- Room patients
- Obtain vitals
- Phlebotomy / Injections
- Basic understanding of common medications
- Additional duties as assigned
