SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a highly qualified chef manager/food service director with high-end catering and large volume production experience in campus dining as well as strong leadership/management office skills for a gorgeous independent school in beautiful Owings Mills, MD.
Our chefs and culinary teams are talented individuals who know how to prepare a great meal! Menus, written by our chefs and prepared from scratch, reflect local and regional foods, flavors and culinary styles. Our culinary teams' cooking methods, recipe development and expertise make every dining experience truly unique. Our catering events rival five star restaurants.

Our managers also manage the financials, set the menus and manage all catering events. This is a boarding school that is open seven days per week. There are two managers who rotate the weekend schedule.
This is a management salaried year-round position.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000

What you'll do:
- Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills and develop client relationships.
- Hire, mentor, and train Team Members in a positive environment.
- Create menus for daily meal service as well as for a variety of catering events.
- Implement and maintain HACCP standards
- Manage merchandising.
- Deliver fabulous catering results every time.
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively.
- Deliver budgeted financial results.
- Manage ordering and inventory.
- Develop strong client and customer relationships.
- Manage production and is hands on in the production of daily meal service, as well as in catering events.
What you'll need:
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a food service operation in a financially responsible manner.
- Outstanding customer service skills and ability to develop client relationships.
- Substantial culinary knowledge: trends, techniques, and processes.
- Proven ability to hire, train, evaluate, and manage people.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Minimum five years food service management experience.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
