SCHEDULE: 2:45pm - 11pm or 10:45pm - 7am, 5 shifts per week with rotating weeks.
PAY: $22.00 per hour base plus evening (5%), overnight (10%), and weekend (10-20%) shift differential.
ABOUT US: PEMHS is a private, non-profit behavioral health care organization located in Pinellas County, Florida. Programs include a 24-hour suicide hotline, emergency screening, and crisis intervention services, inpatient services for adults and children, and community-based programs. This role would assist the charge nurse with supervision of one of our mental health Crisis Stabilization Units (CSUs).
JOB FUNCTION: Ensures a safe, structured environment is being provided to clients on voluntary or involuntary Baker Act holds by effectively utilizing staff and enforcing policy and procedure. While this position must be capable and willing to perform any tasks that are assigned to client care staff, this role involves a substantial amount of training, delegation, and oversight. Must me a positive role model who can effectively lead a diverse team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelors degree in social sciences...

Preferred: At least one (1) year of related supervisory experience.
Minimum: At least two (2) years of direct care experience in a hospital setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to bend, lift a minimum of 50 lbs., stretch, lower and raise self from floor independently. Ability to hear and see in emergency situations. Must be able to pass NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention) training and perform NAPPI techniques.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to all program conditions which may include physical intervention and verbal abuse by consumers. Work hours include weekends and may include extended hours when the need arises. Must be available to work during emergency situations (including weather events).
