The Home Health Operations Director reports to the Regional Vice President and provides administrative leadership and management oversight for One Point Home Healthcare agencies. The incumbent will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of local clinical operational plans. Responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality care by the home health clinical team and the attainment of clinical, operational, and financial metrics of the One Point agency operations.
What you will do:
- Planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating operations to ensure the provision of adequate and appropriate care and services.
- Assists the Regional Vice President of Home Health in developing and managing to the fiscal budget and the strategic and operational plans.
- Work collaboratively cross-organizationally with various leaders and departments to ensure home health agency operations and initiatives align with the company’s broader objectives and goals.
- Hires and leads qualified clinical, management and administrative personnel. Evaluates and motivates personnel by properly implementing the performance evaluation program.
- Consistently strives to implement best practices in operational efficiencies, ensuring compliance with applicable law and regulations and staff adherence to policies and procedures.
- Direct the home health agency’s ongoing functions in compliance with policy and legal requirements including maintenance of appropriate records, supervision of office personnel, and continuous quality improvement.
- Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Experience and Competencies You Will Possess:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 10 years’ increasing responsibility in home health, with leadership and home health administration and operations, budget and P&L experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health administration, nursing or a related field or comparable experience is required. Masters preferred.
- Able to apply a thorough knowledge of home health care delivery models and relevant financial acumen.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to speak, read and write effectively in the English language. Ability to maintain poise and composure in stressful situations.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Personally, demonstrates self-accountability and initiatives, takes ownership for area of responsibility and outcomes, and overall has a business mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; multitask with a sense of urgency between competing tasks.
