Purpose:
The Manager Maintenance Planning is responsible for the overall forecasting & scheduling short-term & long-term aircraft fleet maintenance. Coordinating with the appropriate departments for the accomplishment of that work in accordance with the maintenance program established per FAR 121.367. The manager is responsible for supervising all planning and coordination of scheduled maintenance activities and aircraft routing for overnight maintenance. Responsible for ensuring all aircraft programmed maintenance requirements are accomplished within the time limitations set forth in the Company's Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Programs.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise and assist with developing and maintaining maintenance plans and scheduling of daily aircraft workloads for line maintenance operations and RON activities
- Supervise and assist with developing and maintaining maintenance plans and scheduling of heavy maintenance aircraft workscope requirements and activities
- Coordinate aircraft routing requirements with System Control to ensure aircraft are made available for scheduled maintenance compliance and Operations support
- Review short-term and long-term maintenance plans and forecasts prepared by Line and Heavy Check Planners; and communicate anomalies to FMU's and management personnel
- Coordinates with materials personnel to help ensure parts, tools, and equipment are made available to appropriate maintenance stations for scheduled maintenance support
- Conduct maintenance meetings to schedule and control aircraft workload requirements
- Analyzes maintenance information and limitations; and develop compliance plans to meet applicable directives
- Maintain departmental personnel work schedules and other applicable administrative documents
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director responsible for Maintenance Planning
Requirements:
- Hold a Mechanic's Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings preferred
- Possess Associates Degree affiliated with aircraft/aviation operations
- Have at least 5 years' experience with aircraft maintenance planning processes and procedures preferred
- Have at least 3 years' experience in a supervisory capacity for a part 121 operator that is similar to Mesa Airlines preferred
- Possess strong skill-sets with developing and maintaining Microsoft Excel program spreadsheets
- Strong working knowledge and familiarization with OMEGA AMES Planning/Scheduling program highly desired
- Must be able to work weekend / holiday work schedules upon hiring
