Artemis is seeking a full-time Front Office Executive Writer to support product development for senior executives in the federal government. This individual will be responsible for writing and editing high visibility communication special projects or campaigns. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a writing style and quality of work that matches the goals of the organization and the senior executives.
This candidate will be expected to work onsite in Washington, D.C. approximately three times a week.
This is a contingent hire position.
The expected compensation at the time of requisition creation, is between $90,000 and $110,000. The position offers with medical, dental and vision coverage. Additional benefits such as 401K, disability insurance and PTO are provided as well.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Write, edit and manage a broad range of print and digital communications materials.
- Translate complex messaging into plain language to ensure materials are easy to read, understand and use.

Gather, analyze, fact check and interpret data from various sources.

Implement edits provided by clients and other team members effectively and quickly.
- Ensure content conveys critical information and reflects key messaging in a standardized and consistent voice and tone.

Develop themes, concepts, messaging and distribution tactics for marketing materials.

Plan, generate and deliver client-ready materials for stakeholders, including client leadership.

Write, review and edit content in compliance with AP style and other federal content guidelines.

Review documents for stylistic and formatting consistency.
- Provide subject matter expertise and provide recommendations to support the development of products for senior executives.

Collect, interpret and synthesize leadership priorities into a plain language, marketable message for audiences.
- Create story-driven narratives that form the foundation of outreach campaigns.
- Assist with other projects as assigned by senior project management.

Review documents for stylistic and formatting consistency.
- Ensure all content aligns with client style guides and federal plain language standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6 years of related experience.

Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Familiarity with key functions and offices at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Subject matter expertise of new digital tools for technology organizations such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and telemedicine, preferred but not required.

Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government.

Comfortability with supporting complex client relationships.

Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.

Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
