Are you a passionate Land Survey Manager ready to make a significant impact? We're looking for an innovative leader to spearhead the launch of our brand-new land surveying department. Over the years, we've subcontracted substantial projects to local surveying firms, supporting our civil engineering endeavors. Now, we're bringing this vital service in-house to provide our clients with a seamless, cost-effective experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Department Launch and Oversight: Lead the establishment and growth of our new land surveying department.
- Contract Management: Oversee all land surveying contracts, supporting our civil engineering team and handling standalone projects.
- Client Focus: Initially cater to clients in DC and Virginia, with plans to expand into Maryland.
- Field and Office Work: Perform comprehensive field and office tasks required for each survey, with support from staff engineers and CAD technicians as needed.
- Strategic Growth: Play a key role in strategic decisions about department expansion and hiring additional staff.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying.
- Licensing: Professional Land Surveyor license in Washington D.C. and Virginia.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Experience: Extensive experience in all phases of land surveying, including boundaries, topography, platting, and construction stakeout.
- Project Management: Proven track record in project management and managing survey crews.
- Passion: A strong passion for land development design and surveying.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Salary: $115,000 - $135,000
- Paid Time Off: Start with two weeks of PTO, increasing to three weeks after the first year, and four weeks after five years.
