Job Overview
OFAB, Inc. is seeking a Network Administrator to join our team in Ocala, FL to work in an office/manufacturing environment. This Network Administrator will be responsible for installing, maintaining, upgrading, and patching server software, applications, and hardware to ensure our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. This frontline, internal customer-facing role involves interacting with team members at all levels within the organization, providing both in-house and remote troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, the ability to resolve complex problems, excellent communication abilities, a positive and helpful attitude, and a knack for suggesting creative process improvements. This is an on-site position with some remote access work allowed.
*Note: Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check.
NOTE: Some of the hardware and software infrastructure is run on older systems so familiarity with older technology and interfaces is helpful.
Major Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily administration of a network and server environment.
- Installs, configures, and maintains system software.
- Interface with manufacturing departments and the network structure that helps to operate their equipment (Lasers, Press Brake, Machine Shop).
- Monitors network performance, troubleshoots issues, and deploys solutions.
- Troubleshoot and assist end users with basic PC and printer issues.
- Plans and implements upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment installation.
- Maintains and follows disaster recovery, security, backup, and restore plans.
- May evaluate new tools or equipment and perform analysis/feasibility studies to guide decisions on optimizing network performance.
- Research technical reference materials for network hardware and software to determine root cause of problems.
- Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
- Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
- Solves complex problems.
- Works independently, receives minimal guidance.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Skills and Abilities:
- 5+ years of IT support experience or network administration experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and professional communication, both verbal and written.
- Strong ability to use good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational skills including multi-tasking and time management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional decorum.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Operating Systems and Mac OS, QuickBooks, AutoCAD/Engineering systems preferred.
- Hands on experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Knowledge and adherence to best practices of Cybersecurity.
- Experience with endpoint protection and patch management.
- Understanding of ERP software concepts.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Highly motivated and exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills; keeps abreast of current developments; uses resources effectively.
