Master's degree in education field with 18 credit hours in related field (Math) or 8 years of work experience teaching core college courses (Math). Responsible for providing high quality academic instruction to students through well prepared classes, relevant assignments, clear documentation of student progress, and support of academic success of students.
You will be instructing students that will be entering the hospitality industry after graduation. If you have experience in the hospitality industry or the core courses offered in college you are encouraged to apply.
- Hospitality instruction experience highly preferred (Wine Fundamentals, Sommelier, Hospitality Management, etc.)
- Demonstrate a thorough and accurate knowledge of course.
- Connect subject matter to “real life” experiences in Hospitality industry.
- Learn and use technology to enhance teaching and the educational experience when appropriate.
- Create course syllabus
- Adhere to the learning objectives outlined in course syllabi.
- Develop and explain methods that fairly measure student progress toward course objectives.
- Evaluate student performance fairly, objectively, and consistently. Return student work promptly to promote maximum learning.
- Adhere to the deadline schedule set by the Academics Department,
- Participate in the marketing recruitment and retention of students, faculty, and staff.
- Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse students’ needs.
- This is a contract position.
