Merchant Services Representative
What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Merchant Services Representative within our Fuelman division. This position falls under our North American Fuel line of business and is located in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will be the primary contact for both new and existing merchants. You will interact with merchants through phone, email, and fax, addressing their inquiries and providing solutions. Your role involves researching transactions, processing payments, managing voice authorizations, negotiating terms, and performing other essential tasks to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service. You will report directly to David Zacharia and regularly collaborate with other teams and departments.
How We Work
As a Merchant Services Representative you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:
- Assigned workspace in Atlanta, GA
- Company-issued equipment
- Formal, hands-on training
Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Handling inbound and outbound calls (80+ daily) in a professional manner
- Utilizing multiple Corpay applications to assist merchants efficiently and promptly
- Demonstrating effective oral and written communication skills with merchants, colleagues, and management
- Cross-selling additional products and services to merchants
- Transferring calls to the appropriate departments or staff members as needed
- Providing merchants with accurate and timely account information in a fast-paced environment
- Negotiating settlement terms with merchants
- Collaborating with team members and displaying strong interpersonal skills
- Multi-tasking by listening, inputting data, probing for information, providing solutions, and navigating various screens while applying customer satisfaction techniques
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3+ years in a high call volume environment.
- Skills: Strong analytical abilities and general math skills.
- Communication: Effective and comfortable verbal communication skills for interacting with merchants over the phone.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the fuel and credit card industry.
- Personal Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
