Southern Kentucky Vascular Clinic is seeking an outstanding Front Desk Receptionist to add to our team. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. The majority of your time with be answering phones and providing excellent patient care. You will support staff and patients through a variety of tasks related to greeting patients and entering all appropriate data into the software. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. This position will be for the procedure center.
Responsibilities:
· Greet patients.
· Verify patient’s appointment on the practice management system.
· Update and verify patient’s demographic and insurance information
· Check the patient into the system
· Maintain the smooth flow of communication between patient, provider, medical assistant and other clinic support staff
· Handle scheduling inquiries
· Provide assistance and information to patient when requested
· Keep waiting area and front office area clean, organized and safe
· Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously
· Transfer telephone calls to other staff appropriately
· Make, cancel, and reschedule appointments as needed
· Ensure proper credit/payment is maintained on the patient’s account (i.e., performs cashiering duties, posting charges, print out receipts, etc.
· Attend and participate in clinic staff meetings and trainings as directed
· Provide coverage to other clinic support staff functions based on staffing needs
· Assist with patient flow
· Secure patient eligibility verifications and precertifications
· Maintains patient confidentiality 100% of the time; demonstrates complete discretion when discussing patient information.
· Consistently is on time and ready to begin work at the start of the work day. · Maintains an organized and clean work area.
Must be flexible and committed to being a team player.
Experience with eClinicalWorks software a plus.
Experience communicating with insurance companies to obtain authorization for procedures a plus.
Experience as a Medical Assistant as well is a plus.
Some college education is preferred.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
