Job Overview:
Gypsum Resources, LLC is in search of a Regional Sales Manager to spearhead
growth initiatives within our distinguished resource materials team. We require a
professional adept at developing strategic plans for our diverse mineral resources,
identifying market opportunities, and growing the overall volume of the company. In this role, you won't just be leading the sales teams; you'll be leading the company in
creating new market opportunities for the Las Vegas-based parent company. Being a
part of our integrated team means actively engaging in and influencing a spectrum of
project types and phases, surpassing the conventional scope of mining and aggregate
materials.
As the Regional Sales Director, your role goes beyond traditional expectations. Within
our framework, you're responsible for the critical task of blending business plan goals
with execution. We strive to implement critical thinking at every phase of the process.
Your expertise becomes essential, spanning the dynamics of large-scale mining to the
strategic considerations of market diversity, expansion, and growth. Your responsibilities are to foster an effective collaboration with varied teams, create and implement the strategic plan, maintain timelines and meet sales projections. In this position, you will develop, implement and drive new strategies within the current mining and resource business in Nevada and California to accelerate business growth in existing segments as well as identify new segments.
Position Summary/Day-to-Day Activities:
- Develop, lead and execute the Marketing and Sales Strategies, striving to be customer-focused, innovative and responsive, including overseeing and developing account plans, projects, forecasts by product and region, and new customer relationships.
- Create and develop a collaborative network between the segments in Nevada and California business units.
- Provide insights into customer/market opportunities, data, competitive intelligence and trends (VOC/VCOM).
- Lead the outside sales team for the region and develop, execute and communicate the regional sales plan to drive profitable growth.
- Identify new market opportunities, which will enhance business growth and sustainability. Understand any product gaps with the markets (present and future) and suggest product development initiatives.
- Drive business development, maximize opportunities, unlock synergies, and identify technologies required to exploit these market opportunities.
- Gather intelligence on the competitors to enable any threats or disruptive actions to be counter-measured proactively.
- Lead, coach and develop the sales team, driving high performance aligned to the regional strategies. Drive a culture of team-working, building knowledge sharing and develop individual's capabilities to grow within the company.
- Develop key account management with Strategic customers and Key Customers.
- Manage the overhead within the budget set, and support business cases for expansion through normal approval processes.
- Responsible to provide accurate account plans and reports to monitor performance measurements and targets established for the activity.
- Increase Sales Team product knowledge through educational offerings, marketing materials, communications and technology so that the focus is on selling solutions and market segment expansion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual sales strategy and tactical plans for assigned industries to accomplish the following:
- Profitable revenue growth.
- Balanced selling across all product lines to drive balanced growth & customer satisfaction.
- Maintains and builds rep network for target industries including managing Sales Representatives.
- Demonstrate presentation skills capable of detailing all product lines & services in a fashion that delivers a specific product line's value proposition with maximum impact.
- Meet with key customers to develop relationships, understand their needs, and proactively address potential issues.
- Track/Report overall progress of sales team against targets through weekly, quarterly & annual sales plans. Regular implementation of Project Tracking/Forecasting systems.
-Proactively work cross functionally with other Company support functions to effectively organize, assemble, and arrange resources to meet overall goals.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree such as MBA or MS in a management or business major.
- 10+ years of relevant sector background including sales & marketing.
- 5 years minimum management experience.
- An intimate understanding of the related market and customer base.
- Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal customers.
- Strong leadership skills, able to motivate and drive high performance in a sales team.
- High moral and ethical standards; integrity is continuously apparent.
- Experience in managing distribution and sales channels.
- Strong selling and customer/market development skills.
- Strong negotiation and customer issue resolution skills.

- Excels in achieving outstanding performance results with strong leadership skills – ability to effectively establish goals, motivate and drive performance with strong level of self-confidence and effective interpersonal skills.
- Strong business acumen – strong knowledge of territory financials, ability to effectively structure the financial aspects of a sales package, and ability to define the economic benefits of the products to the customer.
- Excels in planning, forecasting and resource deployment of the geographical region including recruiting, hiring, and training.
- Provide comprehensive project reports, both internally and externally, using project management tools.
- Passion for business growth models, systems thinking, and ability to challenge traditional process.
Additional Duties:
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Quarry and/or Aggregate plant production experience, preferably with at least 3 years of experience. Quality control experience would be advantageous.
- Prior experience as a Territory/Regional Sales Manager is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
