Valkyrie Aero is seeking an experienced and reliable Quality Control (QC) Inspector. Successful candidates possess superior attention to detail and strong technical and mechanical aptitude. They read and correctly interpret technical documents and have extensive experience using precision measuring instruments. They possess strong communication skills and technical writing proficiency. Successful candidates also possess strong knowledge of, and experience in, the aerospace industry, demonstrate significant aircraft component familiarity, and work independently and as part of a team. Successful candidate reports to the Director of Maintenance and is responsible to ensure details of inspection standards, and methods and procedures, are compliant with applicable manufacturers’ specifications, and FAA regulations, as required.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure inspections are performed properly on completed work, and accurate inspection records, reports, and forms are executed prior to return to service
- When required, ensure proper execution of FAA Form 337 and/or maintenance release
- Conduct preliminary, special inspections, in procress, and final inspection of articles processed, and record results as required
- Provide continuity of inspection responsibility and ensure completion of required inspections when personnel shift or assignment changes occur
- Ensure rejected and/or unserviceable parts are handled appropriately to prevent their reuse/reintroduction as serviceable parts.
Experience:
- Two years aviation maintenance experience. Quality control experience and/or Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) experience preferred.
