Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dental or medical office setting and possess strong administrative and customer service skills. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to healthcare professionals, managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the office.
Schedule: Mon, Fri (10a-6p) & Sat (4-5 hours preferred)
Duties:
- Intake Prep: Rcopia, mass Pat, building charts
- Discharge visit prep: print stickers, pill tray keys & packing.
- Breaking down charts after discharge
- Uploading docs to Salesforce: STI, TB, labs, prior to admission docs
- Package pick ups
- Inventory & stocking: OTC, exam room, supply closet, medical office
- Bill to client charges
- Admitting medical reviews
- Medication destruction
- Labs i.e.: tracking & uploading: utox, blood, covid, paps, etc.
- Build daily records for medical appointments
- Later in the day med changes I.e.: Psychiatrist orders
- Updating appointments
- Medication reconciliation 1x per week
- RX Management: Pharmacy pick ups, Rcopia medication check in
Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, sit for periods of 8 hours
- Ability to and comfortable with working independently
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus
- Proven experience working in a dental or medical office setting
- Proficiency in using Google
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
