Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deli Manager to join our team. As a Deli Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our deli department, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and leading a team of deli staff members.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of the deli department, including food preparation, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
- Train, supervise, and schedule deli staff to ensure efficient operations
- Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure product availability
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and sanitation
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and special orders
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and maintain quality standards
- Operate POS systems accurately for transactions and inventory management
Experience:
- Previous experience in deli management or a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen management
- Proficiency in operating POS systems and managing inventory
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively
- Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality setting is preferred
- Assistant manager experience is a plus
