The Warehouse Logistics Manager oversees the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a range of goods including but not limited to live plant and hard goods. This role involves managing a team, processes, and systems to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse and timely delivery of goods to customers.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Oversee, monitor and provide guidance to the warehouse staff.
- Plan and coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems to track stock levels, inventory movements, and stock.
- Hold weekly team meetings
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations, including safety protocols and quality standards.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage space utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics, such as productivity, accuracy, and inventory turnover, and implement improvements as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, sales, and scheduling, to ensure seamless coordination of operations.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to warehouse operations, including safety regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Work with receiving and purchasing to resolve issues or disputes related to inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Industry knowledge a plus but not required
