Help save lives every day! In this role you will provide specialized skills and expertise in the equipment repair and maintenance of critical building systems required in a 24/7 health care facility. You will operate efficiently, meeting strict environmental and regulatory standards with minimal supervision in a wide variety of facilities throughout the Puget Sound region.
Principal responsibilities as an Engineer:
- Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on a wide variety of equipment including refrigeration, HVAC, building controls, lab and medical equipment, etc.
- Escalate issues to Senior Engineer, Chief Engineer or others as appropriate.
- Install and ensure operation of monitoring systems and components.
- Communicate with vendors to troubleshoot and schedule repairs/maintenance; greet and assist while vendors are on-site.
- Document maintenance, repairs and completed work for inclusion in the equipment database.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools; may work with a variety of chemicals including cleaning products, solvents, glues, etc..
- Follow all safety procedures and other regulatory requirements.
- Rotate on-call responsibility and after-hours response.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:Education & Experience:
- Minimum two years relevant maintenance/repair experience.
- Skilled work in one or more of the following areas (equivalent to journey level): HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical, Laboratory/Electronics Equipment, Digital Building Controls, Mechanics
- High School graduate or G.E.D. plus additional vocational course work preferred.
- Required licenses, certification and course work depends on areas of expertise.
