The Role:
We are actively seeking a Training and Education Coordinator to join our team. As a Training and Education Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for our veterinary staff. You will assess the skill sets of new hires and develop customized training plans to ensure a smooth transition into their roles. Additionally, you will maintain our leveling program, ensuring skills lists, required knowledge, and tests are relevant and evolve with advances in medicine and hospital practices. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for veterinary staff, including new hires and ongoing education for existing team members.
- Assess the skill sets of new hires and develop customized training plans to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
- Develop & Maintain the leveling program, including ensuring skills lists, required knowledge, and tests are relevant and evolve with advances in medicine and hospital practices.
- Collaborate with others to identify training needs and develop customized education plans.
- Organize and facilitate training sessions, ensuring they are engaging, informative, and meet learning objectives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance assessments.
- Stay current with advances in veterinary medicine and incorporate new information into training programs.
- Manage educational resources, including books, online courses, and training materials.
- Coordinate with external trainers and speakers to provide specialized training as needed.
Experience & Qualifications:
- RVT/LVT/CVT required
- Level 3+ Veterinary Technician skills
- Supervisor Experience
- Previous experience as a trainer or teacher of veterinary knowledge and skills
