Front Office Coordinator
Valley Veterinary Hospital has opened brand new state of the art facility that will feature an expanded hospital, boarding, daycare, grooming, and training. We are looking for enthusiastic, highly-motivated, animal loving and responsive individuals who share in our vision and mission to make a difference in the lives of our clients and patients with Care, Commitment, and Compassion. The Front Office Coordinator will have duties interacting with clients and coordinating communication between doctors, technicians, and the clients. The Front Office Coordinator will have both direct client contact as well as to help us manage and maintain our front desk and customer service staff.
Candidate must possess good critical thinking and problem solving skills, compassion, a positive attitude, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills. Some night and weekend hours required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answer and triage phone calls, schedule procedures and appointments for the hospital as well as boarding, daycare & grooming, process payment transactions and monitor client flow from check-in to discharge
- Work patiently with potentially distressed, frustrated or disgruntled clients in difficult situations
- Develop and supervise a growing front desk. customer service staff
- Identify and work compassionately with clients in various emotional states
- Ability to use Windows based computer systems, word processing, email, and other skills needed to effectively use the practice management software program
- Assist in cleaning the hospital including but not limited to: keeping reception desk area and lobby clean and sanitary, taking out the trash and recycling, cleaning floors, bathrooms, exam rooms, kitchen and kennels if needed.
- A hands on , sleeves rolled up , can do attitude is a must!
- Maintaining the safety of all pets, providing basic animal care, closely observing all animals and reporting to the veterinary staff
