Position Purpose: HVAC Startup and Warranty Technician
As an HVAC Startup and Warranty Technician, your primary responsibility is to ensure the successful installation, startup, and warranty service of HVAC systems for our clients. You will play a critical role in ensuring that newly installed HVAC systems are operating efficiently and meeting the performance standards set by our company and manufacturers.
Responsibilities:
Installation Verification:
- Verify the proper installation of HVAC systems, including equipment, ductwork, piping, and controls, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
System Startup:
- Perform startup procedures for newly installed HVAC systems, including testing components, calibrating controls, and verifying proper operation to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Warranty Service:
- Provide warranty service and support for HVAC systems as needed, diagnosing and resolving issues covered under warranty to ensure customer satisfaction and system reliability.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system issues reported by customers, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to restore functionality and performance.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC systems to ensure longevity, reliability, and energy efficiency, conducting inspections, cleaning, and adjustments as needed.
Customer Communication:
- Communicate with customers to schedule startup appointments, warranty service visits, and maintenance appointments, providing updates and addressing any questions or concerns.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of startup procedures, warranty service activities, and customer interactions, documenting findings, recommendations, and resolutions for future reference.
Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to customers on the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, offering guidance and assistance to maximize system performance and efficiency.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures, conducting quality checks and inspections to verify the integrity and performance of installed HVAC systems.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when performing startup procedures, warranty service visits, and maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Requirements:
HVAC Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation practices, with experience in startup procedures, warranty service, troubleshooting, and repair.
Technical Skills:
- Strong technical skills in diagnosing and repairing HVAC system issues, with the ability to interpret schematics, troubleshoot electrical circuits, and perform equipment adjustments.
