Description:
Boxing/martial arts gym with three locations in New York City looking for friendly, highly-motivated individuals to join our sales team.
The Perfect Candidate:
Quick on their feet, takes initiative in the workplace, can manage multiple customers at once while remaining upbeat, pleasant and professional.
Shifts start as early as 545am and end at 9pm weekdays and 9am to 2pm weekends.
Responsibilities
Customer Service: Checking customers in, helping to manage the front desk and oversee administrative support, answer incoming phone calls, and managing problems/concerns on the gym floor.
Sales: Processing membership and personal training sales, tracking prospects, emailing potential customers, staying organized and current with leads/customers.
Marketing: Helping with seasonal/holiday promos, assisting with email blasts & marketing analysis and developing strategies for upcoming sales/promotions.
Maintenance: Help to keep the gym clean and presentable at all times, make sure staff and guests wipe down and return equipment to its proper place, make sure the floor has an adequate supply of paper towels, hand wipes, etc.
The First Week of Training:
The first week of training will involve the following:
- Learning how to use membership software
- Opening and closing duties
- Sales strategies
- Membership/personal training/product prices
Job Type, Compensation and Shift Details:
Job Type: Part Time (approx. 10-30 hours/week)
Compensation:
- $17.50-$25/hour, commensurate with experience
- 10% sales commission
Shift Details: After training, your schedule will be based on your availability and what shifts best match your skill sets.
