The National Account Manager services customer accounts. The position is responsible for obtaining and managing profitable business for SPI Products. The position is responsible for achieving budgeted sales within the assigned region. Additionally, the position is responsible for achieving individual, new, and legacy product budgets/goals. Budget achievement will come from pulling through awarded products on their assigned accounts, relationships with appropriate individuals and departments to meet the business needs, wholesaler programs and individual purchasing agreements.
Sales Strategy:

Analyze and understand the overall Generics Pharma environment, the specific account business, and align Strides SPI Products priorities that supports the overall business results

Develop and grow business partnerships within the assigned market segment to secure product awards and achieve performance goals within each account and for the overall business

Monitor progress within segment and take and/or evolve actions as appropriate (monitor contacts, plan execution, value, profit, volume growth, market share, etc.)

Demonstrate knowledge of relevant industry trends and adjusts focus to take advantage of them

Demonstrate business ethics understand basic business principles and interpret resources available to make sound business decisions
Cross Functional Activities:

Review and analyze contracted product performance and communicate account performance broadly with key internal teams.

Develop a strong alliance with appropriate level of cross-functional support and for developing and executing pull-through strategies

Partner with Sales Leaders to assist in account alignment optimization

Additional responsibilities include managing targeted accounts to optimize sales growth

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred

5 years of experience in the generic pharmaceutical industry

Knowledge of the generic pharmaceutical market is required

Knowledge of Excel and MS Office Suite
